Warranty Policy
Last Updated:
At Omercatus, we are committed to ensuring the products you purchase are of high quality and free from defects. This policy outlines the warranty coverage for your purchases and explains how to make a claim if you encounter any issues.
Distinction Between Our Returns Policy and Warranty
It is important to understand the difference between our Returns & Refunds Policy and the manufacturer’s warranty:
- Returns & Refunds Policy: This covers “change of mind” returns and items that are defective or damaged upon arrival. Claims under this policy must be made within 30 days of delivery.
- Warranty Policy: This covers manufacturing defects that arise after the initial 30-day return period but within the warranty timeframe. This policy is facilitated by us in line with the manufacturer’s terms and your statutory rights.
Warranty Period and Coverage
All new products sold by Omercatus come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty coverage is in accordance with UK consumer law and EU directive requirements.
This warranty covers faults that are not caused by accident, misuse, or normal wear and tear. It does not cover consumable items, such as batteries or ink cartridges, unless they are found to be faulty upon arrival.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has developed a fault within the warranty period, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Get in touch with our customer service team with your original order number and a detailed description of the fault.
- Troubleshooting: We will first attempt to troubleshoot the issue with you. In many cases, problems can be resolved without the need for a repair or replacement.
- Repair or Replacement: If the issue cannot be resolved through troubleshooting, we will arrange for the item to be repaired or, if a repair is not possible, replaced. This will be done in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
Your Statutory Rights
This warranty does not affect your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described. Our warranty policy is in addition to these rights.
